About the Position

Job Title

Operating Room Surgical Technologist (CST) – Nights

Location

Portland, ME

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Nights | 36 Hours/Week | 12-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-volume Operating Room environment across a variety of surgical specialties
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in a 26-bed OR setting, ensuring patient safety and surgical readiness
• Operate and assist with surgical equipment including Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robotic systems
• Respond to overnight trauma call coverage (11p–7a) as required; specialty team call scheduled per team protocols
• Adhere to a 1:4 weekend rotation on 12-hour shifts
• Document accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and composure
• Self-motivated, accountable, flexible, and a strong team player

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in General, GU/GYN, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic Joints, Neurosurgery, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, or Endovascular surgery
• Minimum of 2 years of prior travel surgical tech experience
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical platforms
