Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of acute care CT experience for a Level IV Trauma and Stroke Ready facility.

Details

• 60-bed Level IV Trauma Center and Stroke Ready facility
• Unit has 2 CT scanners sharing a back-to-back control room
• Approximately 20 scans per shift per tech
• Patient population includes outpatient, ED, and inpatient cases, including Level II Trauma scans
• Serves mostly toddlers through adults, with rare infant cases
• Common exams include strokes, brain CTAs, CT perfusions, abdomen, extremities, spine, neck, head, and pulmonary embolism studies
• 10-hour day shifts, Friday-Sunday from 12:30 PM-11:00 PM
• 30 standard hours per week
• Set schedule cycle with weekend rotation required
• No on-call requirements
• No floating required
• Uses Canon 80-slice and 40-slice CT scanners
• EPIC EMR preferred
• McKesson PACS and Pyxis medication dispensing system

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• BLS certification required
• WI state license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of acute care CT experience required
• 10+ years of CT experience required for first-time travelers
• Experience with strokes, brain CTAs, and independent work required
• Canon and Toshiba scanner experience highly preferred
• IV start experience preferred
• CT perfusion experience preferred
• Experience with biopsies and special procedures preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform CT scans across a range of trauma, stroke, and general diagnostic cases
• Supported by a department team including a second CT tech on days, Imaging Patient Assistant, Concierge desk, Radiology Nurse, Phlebotomy, House Supervisor, and Lead CT Technologist
• RT, MRI, and X-ray coverage available 24/7
• Orientation includes NEO and 3 days of unit orientation
• Will work holidays if they fall on a scheduled day
• RTO requests go through the manager for approval
• Scrubs must be any solid professional color without graphics, logos, or designs
• Free parking provided on-site
• Unit culture described as fun and close-knit
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no radius restrictions
• Former employees of the health system or its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before becoming eligible for travel assignments
