Structural Engineer

We are currently seeking a Structural Engineer to make a significant contribution to our Building Structures Team. This is a challenging technical role and we are ideally looking for an engineer with 6 to 10 years’ experience, preferably with Engineering Chartership who has sound technical and leadership skills. The role will involve helping to lead the Building Structures Team and mentoring other engineers from concept stage to detailed design and documentation for major building projects. With a minimum of 6 years’ experience in Structural Engineering, your key responsibilities will be to: Complete concept design and detailed design of all structural aspects of major buildings, including highrise. Proactively collaborate with other team members. Attend design coordination meetings with clients, architects, services engineers, and builders. Mentor other engineers in the team in all aspects of structural engineering. Apply project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplishing project deliverables in a timely manner and within the project budget. Undertake site inspections as required. Candidate Specification Degree qualified in structural engineering. Concrete and steel structure multi-storey design experience. Diverse portfolio of structural design and analysis. Experience with client-facing roles. Experienced in PT design and documentation. Ability to perform hand calculations based on engineering principles. Experienced in use of Etabs, RAPT and RAM concept or equivalent software. Ability to run the structural project independently or with minimum supervision. Being flexible to undertake some interstate travel. Enthusiastic attitude. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
