This combined Medical Receptionist and Doctor's Assistant role supports optometry practices across two office locations. The position involves assisting with patient intake, data entry, and supporting the doctor during exams by operating specialized equipment and accurately recording clinical information. On the front desk days, the role focuses on managing patient check-in/out, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining organized documentation. Excellent interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, and strong organizational abilities are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients into exam rooms and collect visit data using advanced equipment
• Enter detailed patient information during examinations
• Manage front desk operations including patient check-in and check-out
• Verify insurance coverage and handle filing tasks
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Operate specialized optometry equipment efficiently
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation
• Support a smooth workflow between two office locations

Required Qualifications

• Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software

Preferred Qualifications
