About the Position

Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Bone Marrow Transplant / Hematology Oncology – Ohio

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights/combination based on department needs); shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period; 72-hour orientation provided

Highlights:

• Mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical unit specializing in Bone Marrow Transplant and hematology oncology
• Care for patients with complex diagnoses including acute and chronic leukemias, lymphomas, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and aplastic anemia
• Participate in advanced transplant procedures including autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic transplants, plus CAR-T therapy
• 36-bed unit with daily census of 33 patients; comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Epic electronic medical record system; telemetry monitoring with GE system; modern equipment including Alaris pumps and Stryker beds
• Float opportunities to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units within the health system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required
• Inpatient hematology oncology and Medical-Surgical experience mandatory (minimum 1 year)
• Current RN license (compact or Ohio state license)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or ONCC Chemotherapy certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration, blood product administration, central line management, telemetry interpretation, and dysrhythmia recognition
• Experience with leukemia/blood dyscrasias, lymphomas, and multiple myeloma essential
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
