Legal Assistant (San Diego)

Innovative Driven is seeking a Legal Assistant to support our client's litigation team. This is a full-time position that is hybrid with 2-3 days a week onsite in San Diego, CA. This position is eligible for benefits as well as performance-based bonuses.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage e-filing of legal documents in California state and federal courts.
• Review rules and procedures to ensure proper formatting, service, and submission of filings.
• Monitor court dockets and provide timely updates to attorney and paralegal teams.
• Calculate, calendar, and track deadlines, hearings, trials, depositions, etc.
• Draft, format, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and forms.
• Prepare exhibits, including labeling, bookmarking, and tabbing.
• Assist with document redactions and preparation for filing or production.
• Issue and follow up on third-party records requests.
• Create and maintain electronic case folders in the firm’s document management system.
• Scan, save, and organize case documents in accordance with firm protocols.
• Maintain and update internal litigation charts, templates, and reference lists.
• Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings.
• Maintain attorney and paralegal calendars to ensure accurate tracking during litigation process.
• Assist paralegals with administrative support.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of experience in a legal/litigation support role.
• Knowledgeable of California and federal court procedures.
• Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
