Accounting Assistant

We are looking for an Accounting Assistant to join our team!The Accounting Assistant works closely with the accounting team and various other internal departments. Responsibilities: Reconciles invoices and identifies discrepancies. Creates and updates expense reports. Enters financial transactions into internal databases. Checks spreadsheets for accuracy. Participates in quarterly and annual audits. Maintains all accounts payable files (i.e. scan invoices, W9, W8), including filing invoices, rename andupdating vendor files, estimates 2-3 times per week. Sorts invoices in descending and ascending order, files invoices, and put into boxes. Prepares and sends AP checks with appropriate documentation Requests monthly open balance statements from vendors (match with our books to avoid past-due invoices) Follows/adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's),Standard Safety Practices, and all company policies/procedures. Completes other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: 3+ years' experience in Accounting. Communication Skills (Oral/Written) - able to speak clearly and accurately in order to ensure effectivedepartment operations. Computer Skills (Intermediate) MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and QuickBooks. Detail Oriented - pays close attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, double-checking their work.
