It’s an opportunity to grow your skills and experience as a valued member of the team.Make your mark in Specialty UnderwritingThe Underwriter manages key relationships and reviews complex transactions for key targeted Trade Credit brokers/markets/industries. This is an integral position that provides front-facing external/internal marketing responsibilities as well as management of office underwriting duties and initiatives within their portfolio.How you will create an impact:Developing strong relationships with brokers and clients to grow the underwriter’s book of trade credit businessTraining, mentoring, providing technical direction to underwriters to contribute to group revenue targets and meeting internal operations/audit directives for the divisionUnderwriting middle market, new and renewal insurance submissions and negotiating policy terms and conditionsAnalyzing domestic and international corporate credits, evaluating financial information, and recommending or approving appropriate credit limits and termsProfessionally maintaining and properly servicing an existing book of trade credit insurance businessMarketing, selling and presenting to brokers and insureds to increase submission flowEngaging in various underwriting and marketing projects to improve overall company resultsMeeting operating and audit guidelines and goals of senior managementParticipating in and completing special projects as required by the profit centerWhat you'll need to succeed:1+ years of experience in underwriting3+ years of experience in trade credit, finance, or banking preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Cap IQ, Salesforce, FactivaStrong commercial development skillsSolid organizational and communication skillsBachelor's degree in business or finance preferredSecond language proficiency valuedReady to take your career to the next level? We would love to hear from you.The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000, and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
