Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years required; 1 year will be considered if from a Level 1 trauma facility. License: Pending license accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Experience in circulating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases; scrub skillset not required for day shift but is highly preferred. Description: This position requires experience in circulating cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures. Scrub experience is not required for the day shift but is strongly preferred. Responsibilities include circulating for cardiac and thoracic cases primarily, as well as vascular open and endovascular procedures. Transplant experiences in liver and kidney, and pancreatic procedures is beneficial. The ability to respond to emergent cases swiftly is essential. On-call requirements are based on unit needs and will vary. Clinicians may float within their service line as needed. Weekend and holiday coverage is a requirement. Candidates are expected to be flexible and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. All staff are responsible for entering missing instruments into the appropriate system. This role plays a crucial part in delivering the highest level of care in the region. Candidates should have a sufficient level of experience from a Level 1 trauma facility. It is important to engage in continuous learning and development within the specialty.
