About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours (06:00 - 16:30) Experience: 1 year CVOR experience required License: Current state RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: The Registered Nurse will work in the CVOR unit on a day shift schedule. Call is required and will be split amongst CV staff, approximately 14 times per month, including weekends. Floating to Vascular and General units is required. The role requires strong cardiovascular surgery experience. Candidates must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications. EPIC charting system experience is necessary. Level 1 experience is preferred. The daily patient census will be 2 cases. This position involves direct patient care, focusing on adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and phlebotomy. Common patient diagnoses include coronary artery disease and aortic stenosis. Special procedures performed in this unit include CABG and valve replacements. The Registered Nurse will need to possess skills in various surgical techniques and patient monitoring. The ability to respond to code situations and manage surgical instruments safely is essential.
