Medical Practice Representative I - Surgery
Various receptionist and clerical duties in a clinical practice including answering phones, greeting patients, and limited scheduling, checking in/checking out duties with or without insurance registration or charge entry; and other duties as assigned.
Essential functions include demonstrating knowledge of FPI and its practices, managing provider schedules and scheduling appointments accurately and effectively, understanding FPI policy for cash collection and patient encounter, working knowledge of the revenue cycle as it relates to patient encounters, maintaining registration certification, scheduling patients for evaluations, re-evaluations and treatment, and obtaining and inputting all pre-authorization insurance and pertinent demographic information.
Education and/or experience preferred includes a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), one year related office or customer service experience, entry level computer skills, strong customer service, and accurate data entry skills.
