ED RN - Hospital - Travel/Contract - Up to $3,240/week!

Emergency Department RN

This role is a 13-week local travel Emergency Department RN assignment in Northern California. You will deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate care to a wide range of patients in a fast-paced emergency department. Compensation is up to $3,240 per week, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions.
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring based on patient acuity.
• Recognize changes in condition and initiate appropriate interventions promptly.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and other treatments per provider orders and protocols.
• Assist physicians and other providers with emergency procedures and patient care.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and neurological status.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts when needed.
• Perform wound care, splinting, specimen collection, and other emergency nursing procedures.
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health record documentation.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, discharge instructions, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, technicians, EMS personnel, and other team members.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, medication-safety, and regulatory standards while prioritizing multiple patients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in California.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required.
• Successful completion of applicable facility credentialing, compliance, background, and health requirements.

Preferred Skills:

• NIHSS certification preferred but not required.
• TNCC certification preferred but not required.
• Previous Emergency Department, Emergency Room, or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
