Our client is a respected global manufacturing company seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Engineer to help lead environmental, health, safety, and security initiatives across multiple manufacturing facilities in the Eastern Tennessee region. What You’ll Do As the EHS&S Engineer, you’ll serve as a key member of the plant leadership team responsible for protecting employees, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving overall operational safety performance. Responsibilities include: Lead Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs across multiple manufacturing facilities Develop and implement strategic EHSS initiatives that improve workplace safety and environmental compliance Manage departmental budgets and safety improvement projects Represent the facility on the Global EHSS Council Lead ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and continuous improvement initiatives Conduct Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety observations, incident investigations, and risk assessments Develop and deliver EHSS training programs for employees and leadership Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and other federal, state, and local regulations Manage Workers’ Compensation processes and injury reduction initiatives Monitor key performance metrics and recommend process improvements Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the organization Qualifications We’re looking for professionals who have: Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field preferred 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment (with degree) 8+ years of manufacturing EHS experience (without degree) Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and environmental regulations Experience implementing or managing ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to influence all levels of the organization Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Why Consider This Opportunity?
