Travel RN - Labor & Delivery - ObstetricsAmerican TravelerSpokane, Washington, United StatesPosition status: OpenAssignment type: travelShift: DaysLength (weeks): 13Openings: 1$2,627.00/week (estimated advertised weekly pay)DescriptionAmerican Traveler is seeking an RN for a Gynecologic Oncology clinic role requiring surgical or oncology nursing background and at least 2 years of experience, with WA or compact RN licensure.DetailsClinic setting within a Gynecologic Oncology Center supporting 4 GYN oncologists, one benign GYN surgeon, and 4 APPsPatient population is low volume but high acuity, with providers splitting time between OR and clinicClinic sees approximately 30-40 patients daily, with nurse visits typically 3-6 per dayDay shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (5x8 hours)No weekend or on-call requirementsNo chemo administration or infusion duties in this roleExperience with voiding trials and central line/port flushes is a plusUses Epic EMRRequirementsActive WA or Compact RN license required at time of submissionCurrent BLS certification requiredMinimum 2 years of nursing experience requiredBackground in SICU, OR, PACU, Post-Op, Gynecologic Oncology, Triage, OBGYN, or Oncology nursing requiredSolely Obstetric or L&D experience does not qualify for this roleCombined Gynecology, Oncology, and Surgical experience preferredSkills in starting IVs, assisting with procedures, dressing changes, and sterile tray setupExperience with pap smears, skin biopsies, sutures, and suture removal preferredExperience with pelvic exams, pelvic inflammatory disease, and urogenics preferredTelephone triage and patient teaching experience requiredAdditional InformationProvide triage support for medication reactions, surgical outcome concerns, and symptoms of potential recurrence via phone and Epic messagingPerform pre- and post-operative patient education and assessmentSupport patients through their treatment course to ensure safe outcomesAssist with referrals, pharmacy calls, and patient refill requestsConduct lab tests including pregnancy testing, urinalysis, and specimen collectionMay be required to float between sister facilities within the regionLocal candidates accepted within a 50-mile radiusFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyFormer permanent staff may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facilityMust commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years are required prior to startHours per week: 40Hours per shift: 8
