Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro Tele Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Compact license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience on a telemetry unit - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Knowledge of rapid response/code teams - Experience with peripheral line care and management - Skilled in oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management Description: This position requires a registered nurse for a neuro telemetry unit. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients in a fast-paced environment. Expected patient ratios are 1:4. Weekend shifts are required with a total of 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule. The nurse will work closely with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. A strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with patients and families is essential. Previous experience in a comprehensive stroke center or neuro stepdown unit is preferred. The unit supports a variety of patient diagnoses including TIA, stroke, and neurosurgical patients. Flexibility to float between units is required. No on-call shifts are expected. Applicants should possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
