Contract - Procurement Data Coordinator/Junior BuyerLocation: Schaumburg, IL - OnsiteEmployment Type: 3 Months Contract to HireAbout the OpportunityTalentBridge is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to identify a detail-oriented Procurement Data Coordinator to support purchasing, supplier data, and planning activities. This position plays an important role in maintaining accurate purchasing and supply chain information within SAP. The coordinator will help ensure reliable inventory availability, accurate Available-to-Promise (ATP) information, visibility into material shortages, and improved customer delivery performance.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain purchase order delivery dates and supplier confirmations in SAP.Review and update past-due purchase orders to ensure accurate material availability information.Monitor and maintain supplier lead times and other assigned supply chain master data.Contact suppliers to obtain updated delivery commitments and accurately record responses in SAP.Support daily shortage review activities by validating supplier delivery dates and identifying data discrepancies.Assist with ATP data maintenance and reconciliation activities.Update customer confirmation information according to established procedures.Generate and distribute shortage, supplier performance, and purchasing support reports.Maintain documentation and records related to supplier commitments and purchase order status.Collaborate with Purchasing, Planning, Customer Service, and Manufacturing teams to maintain accurate and timely data.Identify and resolve internal and external issues in a professional, fair, and ethical manner.Maintain the confidentiality of company and supplier information.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.One to three years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory control, customer service, planning, data entry, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency.Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Ability to review, analyze, and maintain large volumes of transactional data.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree or related post-secondary education.Experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system.Experience working in a manufacturing environment.Experience with purchasing, supplier coordination, inventory, or supply chain data maintenance.Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.Key CompetenciesData Accuracy: Maintains reliable purchasing and supply chain information.Attention to Detail: Identifies discrepancies and ensures transactional records are accurate.Organization: Effectively manages multiple priorities and recurring data-maintenance activities.Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves issues in a timely manner.Communication: Communicates professionally with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Collaboration: Works effectively with Purchasing, Planning, Customer Service, and Manufacturing teams.Confidentiality: Handles company and supplier information appropriately.Ethical Conduct: Resolves issues fairly and professionally.Why Consider This Opportunity?This is an opportunity to join a manufacturing supply chain environment where accurate procurement data directly supports inventory planning, shortage visibility, and customer delivery performance.
