Shift: 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM, 36 hours guaranteed.

Job Description

The Operating Room Nurse provides surgical patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care for patients before, during, and after surgery. This role involves creating and maintaining a sterile and safe surgical environment, offering pre-and post-operative patient education, and monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
• Maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Provide pre-and post-operative education to patients and their families.
• Monitor patients' physical and emotional states during the surgical process.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless integration of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current Operating Room experience.
• Strong float experience to vascular, orthopedic, trauma, general surgery, robotic surgery, urology, and ENT.
• Travel experience is required.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Scrub and circulate experience is required.
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
