Registered Nurse - MS Stroke Stepdown

Schedule

This position requires night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with block scheduling that is not guaranteed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will work in the MS Stroke Stepdown unit and is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals recovering from strokes and other related diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Conduct assessments and develop care plans for stroke patients.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care delivery.
• Appropriately document patient care and progress in EMR systems.
• Participate in floating to other units as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in New York State and all active RN licenses.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MS with stroke stepdown experience.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification required (can be obtained prior to start).
• Documentation of travel experience.
• Drivers licenses matching the address and demographics.
