You may work inside or outside the hospital setting depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. If you are looking for a change and tired of 12 hours on your feet or rushing from patient to patient with no time to provide quality care, this would be the perfect opportunity for you.This is a Sporadic Per Diem position — ideal for nurses who want to pick up occasional cases on their schedule.As a VTP Vascular Access Nurse Consultant you will:Place PICCs, midlines, and peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidanceUtilize ECG technology for PICC tip confirmationAssist with management of PICCs and Vascular Access devices.Provide a wide range of vascular access support services including but not limited to port access, removal of lines, declotting, etc.Educate facility nursing staff regarding PICCs, midlines and many other CVAD'sSchedulingIn this role, Consultants visit patients in different customer facilities and therefore must be willing to travel to customer facilities and able to fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated based on business needs. Part-time (Per Diem) scheduling requirements include a minimum of 4 scheduled shifts per month, including weekends, and participation in the holiday rotation.Required QualificationsRegistered Nurse with current licenseAmerican Heart BLS CertificationExperience in vascular access device (VAD) management, including care, maintenance, and troubleshootingExperience placing ultrasound-guided IVs (USGIVs)Experience placing PICCs, midlines, or other vascular access devices using ultrasoundAbility to work independently and fulfill scheduling requirements as indicated by job classificationValid driver's license, active auto insurance, and reliable transportation for travel to patient sitesMust possess a smart phoneMust LOVE vascular access!Minimum of 3 years of acute care RN experiencePrior vascular access or PICC experience preferredCompensation is based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.Hourly Pay Range$65 - $75 USDWhy Join VTP?
