Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

RN – Intermediate Care / MedSurg Step-Down

Schedule

Shifts: Nights — 3x12 or 4x12. Every other weekend required.

Assignment Details

The unit typically has a census of 18–26 beds, caring for adult acute patients.

Requirements

• Must have a valid RN license.
• 1 year of nursing experience required; 2 years preferred.
• Travel experience accepted.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting is mandatory.
• Ability to manage ratios of approximately 1:5–1:7.
• Core clinical skills in telemetry, IV therapy, airway management, and more.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using continuous telemetry, pulse oximetry, and invasive lines.
• Administer and titrate IV infusions as needed.
• Manage non-invasive airway support including BIPAP.
• Implement isolation precautions and care for wounds and feeding tubes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation consists of 24 hours. Background checks will be reviewed case-by-case.
