The Greater Manchester Region employs around 2,500 individuals. This area includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a community facility with 249 beds, Rockville General, a branch of Manchester Memorial Hospital with 102 beds, a large multispecialty provider group, and visiting nurse services. The Greater Manchester Region caters to approximately 300,000 residents across 19 towns.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Using the nursing process, this role involves delivering high-quality direct and indirect patient-centered care. You will coordinate patient care by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. It is essential to communicate the patient's clinical status appropriately and respond swiftly and accurately to any changes in their condition or treatment response. A solid understanding of growth and development principles across the lifespan is necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patient population. Additionally, you will promote the nursing profession and professional practice through supportive interactions with colleagues. This position reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

• Graduation from an accredited nursing school and current licensure in the State of Connecticut is required.

• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support is mandatory upon hire or must be obtained during the introductory orientation period, with ongoing clinical competency required throughout employment.

COMPETENCIES:

• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.

• Basic computer proficiency is required.
