About the Role
The Company is seeking a VP of Engineering to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of its engineering function. This hands-on leadership position is focused on setting the technical strategy, defining the roadmap, and actively building alongside the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping the engineering organization to support the company's mission of providing end-to-end cancer support services. This includes partnering with the CEO and functional leaders to identify and implement the highest-impact opportunities for technology and AI to serve patients at scale. The role demands a strong background in engineering leadership, particularly within a health tech environment, and a deep understanding of healthcare technology, including HIPAA and the security, privacy, and data considerations of sensitive health information. The ideal candidate for the VP of Engineering role at the company will have a proven track record in taking complex technical problems from strategy to execution, experience in building and scaling technology for operationally complex businesses, and a background in modern data infrastructure and cloud-based systems. A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach is essential, as is experience in applying AI to enhance and automate back-end workflows. While not mandatory, experience with medical claims, prior authorization, or other complex healthcare data is strongly preferred. The role is not for the faint-hearted; it requires a leader who is comfortable with ambiguity, is adept at problem-solving, and is deeply committed to the mission of serving cancer patients.
