The opportunities are endless.Job OverviewThe Hardscape Installation Technician focuses on the expert installation of boulders, stone features, and retaining walls. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with natural stone, block wall systems, grade changes, and demonstrates a strong understanding of structural integrity and design aesthetics of outdoor spaces.Responsibilities and DutiesConstruct boulder walls, natural stone features, and manufactured block retaining walls according to design plans and safety standardsRead and interpret site plans, blueprints, and layout designs for hardscape projectsOperate skid steers, excavators, compactors, and other machinery relevant to grading and stone installationEnsure proper base preparation, drainage, and structural stability of all stoneworkCollaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are metMaintain a safe and clean work environment and comply with company safety policiesOther duties as assignedJob Requirements2+ years of experience in hardscape installation, with emphasis on boulder work and retaining wall systems (e.g., Versa-Lok, Belgard, Unilock)Strong knowledge of drainage systems, base materials, and construction best practicesAbility to work independently and lead small crews on-site when neededProficient in the use of compact equipment and hand tools required for hardscape constructionPhysical ability to perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods in outdoor conditionsStrong communication and organization skillsReliable attendance and ability to work long days as project schedules requireAbility to work outdoors in variable weather conditions, including heat and humidityPossess and maintain a valid Michigan Driver’s License.
