Your Responsibilities

• Carrying out thorough patient evaluations, directing diagnostic testing, and crafting personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, depending on your credentialing
• Educating patients and their families about preventative measures, wellness, and chronic disease management
• Prescribing medications and treatment plans within your scope of practice

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to achieve within 90 days)
