A well-established and growing organization in the Green Bay area is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join its leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a key role due to a planned retirement, allowing for a smooth transition and comprehensive knowledge transfer.

This position offers a blend of hands-on accounting responsibilities, team leadership, financial reporting, business partnership, and technology support , making it ideal for someone who enjoys both strategic oversight and day-to-day involvement in the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 10 accounting professionals, including supervisors, senior accountants, and staff accountants.
• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for multiple business entities.
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and executive-level reporting packages.
• Maintain ownership of select entity financials to remain actively involved in day-to-day operations.
• Analyze revenue, expenses, margins, labor, overhead, and key business performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and ad hoc reporting to support business decision-making.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including workpaper preparation and audit support.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process efficiency, automation, and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• Progressive accounting and finance experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Prior experience supervising and developing accounting teams.
• Strong experience managing accounting for multiple entities.
• Hands-on experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas, and financial modeling.
• Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with reporting tools such as Management Reporter or similar financial reporting platforms is a plus.
• Strong technology aptitude and comfort supporting financial systems and business users.
