Staff Accountant

Join to apply for the Staff Accountant role at Kono Kogs, Inc. Position Overview: Kono Kogs is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. This role combines accounting functions with front‑desk management and plays a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities include front‑desk management, period‑end closing duties, assisting with accounting for inventory and fixed assets, bill and payment processing, customer invoicing, and balance sheet reconciliations. The role offers exposure to a broad range of accounting functions. A high level of confidentiality is required because of the access to financial information that this employee will have. Responsibilities Receive and process vendor invoices and payments accurately and promptly Assist with customer invoicing and monitor A/R for accuracy and timeliness of payments Deposit and process customer payments Assist with month‑end closing duties, including preparation of journal entries and financial transaction reviews Prepare and analyze monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial information Record the acquisition and disposition of fixed assets as required by the fixed asset capitalization policy Review employee expense reports and corporate card charges to ensure proper coding and compliance with travel policies Maintain accurate inventory records by charging inventory to jobs as needed Create and modify item numbers and related item information upon request Prepare and distribute regular reports for management and teams Perform various ad‑hoc and routine accounting functions as needed Maintain a well‑organized filing system for financial records Manage reception duties, including greeting visitors and handling incoming and outgoing mail Other duties as assigned Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience No accounting experience required; December and May graduates encouraged to apply.
