- Windows System AdministratorApply**Job#: 3037715****Job Description:**We’re looking for a Windows Systems Administrator – Team Lead to support and engineer mission-critical systems within a classified DoD environment. This role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, providing advanced (Tier 2/3) support while guiding daily operations across enterprise Windows infrastructure.You’ll play a key role in maintaining secure, high-availability systems and driving improvements across server, network, and virtualization environments.**What You’ll Do*** Lead and coordinate a team of system administrators, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across Windows-based infrastructure* Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier 3 support for internal applications and custom-built systems* Manage and maintain Windows server environments in alignment with government versioning and compliance requirements* Oversee installation, configuration, and support of COTS, GOTS, and open-source software* Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements across server and client environments* Evaluate system configurations, identify gaps, and recommend performance and security improvements* Support network operations, including monitoring and firewall configuration* Administer core services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VDI environments* Manage virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, ESXi, and vCenter* Support storage and data protection solutions, including SAN and enterprise backup/recovery* Leverage PowerShell for automation and operational efficiency* Ensure adherence to change management and configuration control processes within a classified environment**Environment*** On-site role supporting a secure, classified DoD program**Required Qualifications*** Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility* DoD 8140/8570 IAT-II certification* 10+ years of experience in systems administration or engineering within enterprise Windows environments**Preferred Experience*** Prior experience supporting systems in classified DoD environments* Familiarity with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)* Strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience *Everforth Apex is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
