Job Description

The School District of Mauston is seeking a dynamic and student-centered High School Choir Teacher to lead and grow our vocal music program. The successful candidate will provide engaging instruction, direct choral ensembles, prepare students for performances, and foster a positive learning environment that promotes musical excellence and student success.

Essential Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based vocal music instruction for grades 9-12.
• Direct choir performances, concerts, festivals, and solo/ensemble opportunities.
• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback.
• Recruit and retain students in the choir program.
• Collaborate with staff, students, parents, and community members.
• Utilize technology and innovative instructional practices.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

Wisconsin teaching license in Music Education or eligibility for licensure through grade 12. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Experience with vocal music instruction, student performances, and music program development preferred.
