We are seeking a full-time bilingual (English/Spanish) Pediatric Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care team, serving under one pediatrician in a family-oriented practice. The ideal candidate will be warm, caring, and responsible, able to multitask and work patiently under occasional pressure. This role requires dedication to patient care and satisfaction, assisting pediatric patients from birth through adolescence, and becoming an integral part of our supportive healthcare family.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain chief complaints
• Measure and record height, weight, vital signs, pulse oximetry, and visual acuity
• Administer vaccines to children from birth through adolescence
• Perform CLIA waived testing under physician direction
• Collect specimens and document patient care in medical records using AthenaHealth
• Schedule tests, consultations, and complete referrals
• Manage patient calls and service requests as directed by the physician
• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments
• Conduct monthly inventory of vaccines and medical supplies
• Cross-train for front desk duties when needed, including monitoring appointments, patient flow, and waiting areas
• Ensure courteous treatment of patients and visitors, resolve complaints, and support other practice areas as backup

Required Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with at least 3 years of medical assisting experience
• Experience in pediatric care and vaccine administration
• Knowledge of CLIA waived testing procedures
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, specifically daily use of AthenaHealth software
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Strong patient communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous pediatric experience
• Strong organizational skills and demonstrated work initiative
