Position Description
Property Maintenance Crew Member
M. Shapiro Real Estate Group

M. Shapiro Real Estate Group is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated Property Maintenance Crew Member to join our team in Ann Arbor, MI. This full-time position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of our manufactured housing communities and assisting with a variety of maintenance and repair projects.

The ideal candidate is dependable, takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, and has experience performing general maintenance and repairs.

Position Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs on community buildings, homes, and equipment
Complete basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
Maintain community grounds, including mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, and leaf removal
Install mulch and maintain landscaping and flower beds
Operate and maintain lawn care equipment, including mowers, weed trimmers, and leaf blowers
Assist with home renovations, remodeling, and turnover projects
Respond to maintenance service requests and emergency repairs as needed
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities
Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and scheduled services
Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency maintenance requests
Assist with additional maintenance projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of general maintenance or property maintenance experience
Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
Ability to safely operate landscaping and maintenance equipment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
Ability to work on-call for emergency maintenance when schedul ed

Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience preferred
