Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a Pediatric/Adult RT position requiring 2+ years of recent Level 3/4 NICU or PICU experience at a Level II trauma facility.

Details

• Work across a 28-bed adult ICU, 9-bed PICU, and 66-bed Level 3 NICU, plus floor therapy coverage
• Level II trauma center for adults and pediatrics, also performing adult open heart surgeries
• Perform NIV, high flow, nebulizer therapy, CPT, nitric oxide, and Flolan nebulizer treatments
• Utilize Draeger vents for adults, Servo-I for PICU/NICU, 3100A/3100B oscillators, and Jet ventilators in NICU
• Epic EMR used for charting
• 3x12 variable shift schedule with both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:30) shifts
• Weekend work required
• No on-call requirements
• Float within scope to NICU, PICU, and Adult units as needed

Requirements

• BLS and CRT certifications required; ACLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT preferred
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent Level 3 or 4 NICU or PICU experience required
• Trauma experience required
• Preferred experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Servo I ventilators
• Epic EMR experience required

Additional Information

• Deliver respiratory care across pediatric, neonatal, and adult ICU populations
• Magnet-designated, Level II trauma facility recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Must be available to work 2-3 major holidays, including Christmas
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Minimal RTO accommodated, approved on an individual basis upon offer
