Preconstruction Manager

We are recruiting for an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join a well-established commercial general contractor. The Preconstruction Manager will lead projects through estimating, budgeting, planning, procurement, and turnover to operations. This person will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal project teams to develop accurate budgets and effective construction strategies Responsibilities Lead preconstruction efforts from conceptual design through contract award Prepare conceptual estimates, detailed budgets, and cost plans Manage subcontractor bidding, scope reviews, and bid leveling Develop project schedules, logistics plans, and procurement strategies. Identify value-engineering opportunities and potential project risks. Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal operations teams. Support presentations, proposals, and client meetings. Ensure a smooth handover from preconstruction to the project delivery team. Requirements Previous preconstruction or estimating experience with a commercial general contractor. Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, costs, and subcontractor markets Experience managing projects from conceptual budgeting through buyouts Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills Proficiency with estimating, scheduling, and construction-management software.
