Join a dedicated healthcare team as a licensed pharmacist responsible for compounding and distributing medications as prescribed by physicians or care providers. In this clinical role, you will collaborate closely with medical professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes through the appropriate use of pharmaceuticals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Participate in pharmaceutical care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics.
• Provide drug information upon request and document any clinical interventions.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and verify the accuracy of medications prepared before dispensing.
• Complete, review, and sign required legal and policy paperwork.
• Engage in training and staff development activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and sterility of the pharmacy, equipment, and storeroom.
• Submit daily supply orders as needed.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with patients, team members, physicians, and external agencies.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.

Experience

Preferred experience includes working in a hospital pharmacy environment.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current pharmacist license valid in the state of Kansas.
• Preferred: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Strong communication skills.

Physical Requirements

This role involves light work, occasionally exerting up to 25 pounds and frequently up to 10 pounds. Approximately 11-25% of the workday may involve standing or walking.
