Per Diem Pharmacist - Newton, Kansas

Per Diem Pharmacists are needed to join a retail pharmacy team in the Newton, KS area. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling with shifts available on a semi-regular basis, providing a manageable workload and strong support to ensure a smooth workflow.

Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications to patients in compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations
Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, and proper storage
Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care
Manage prescription orders efficiently using Rx30 software
Supervise pharmacy technicians and workflow to maintain a high level of service

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Valid Kansas Pharmacist license in good standing
Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred
Proficiency with Rx30 or similar pharmacy software systems
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Location:

Newton, Kansas, with preference for candidates within a 75-mile radius. Travel compensation is available for those farther away, including daily meal allowances, mileage reimbursement, and hotel accommodations.

Schedule:

Shifts are typically 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on select dates, including upcoming opportunities in March, April, and May. Hours may vary based on pharmacy needs.
