HR Specialist - Direct Hire Location: Louisville, KY Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Job Summary Allegiance Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused HR Specialist to support various human resources functions. This role provides workforce management, payroll, and benefits assistance to employees and managers while ensuring accurate data processing and system integrity. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and delivers excellent service through multiple communication channels.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact Center Support
• Deliver high-touch customer service via phone, email, and case management systems
• Support employees and managers with HR, payroll, and benefits-related inquiries
• Provide first-level support for HRIS processes, including Workday
• Escalate and route cases appropriately when needed
• HR Administration
• Accurately process and maintain employee data in HRIS (Workday)
• Manage new hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, leave of absence updates, and benefits enrollments
• Administer employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, etc.)
• Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee records
• General Duties
• Collaborate with HR team members across functions
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Assess employee inquiries and resolve or escalate appropriately
• Track and report trends to leadership
• Maintain accurate case documentation and provide follow-up

Qualifications

• High school diploma required
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
• 0–3 years of HR, payroll, or benefits experience
• Customer service or call center experience preferred
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday or PeopleSoft
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Spanish speaking skills preferred
