Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chef role based in Farmingdale, NY. The Chef will plan, prepare, and cook a variety of menu items, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation. Day-to-day responsibilities include organizing the kitchen, managing food prep and cooking schedules, monitoring inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The role also involves collaborating with team members, following standardized recipes, adapting menus based on seasonality and customer feedback, and adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines. The Chef will help support a positive kitchen culture and contribute ideas to improve efficiency and customer experience. Qualifications Strong culinary skills, including knife skills, cooking techniques, and experience with menu execution in a professional kitchen. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and kitchen best practices, with the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Experience with kitchen operations such as inventory management, ingredient prep, portion control, and waste reduction. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, manage time well, and coordinate multiple dishes and orders simultaneously. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a collaborative approach to working with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Attention to detail in food presentation and flavor, with a commitment to consistent quality and customer satisfaction. Prior experience as a Chef, Line Cook, or similar culinary role; formal culinary training or certification is a plus.
