Controller (Plant)

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to provide financial leadership within a dynamic manufacturing environment in Franklin, Massachusetts. This role partners closely with plant and operations leaders to translate production activity into clear financial insight, strengthen decision-making, and support stronger business performance. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in manufacturing finance along with a practical, collaborative approach to improving cost, efficiency, and profitability.Responsibilities:• Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional partners to align financial goals with operational priorities and support overall site performance.• Direct product costing activities, including standard cost development, cost modeling, and detailed analysis of variances across labor, materials, and overhead.• Monitor key manufacturing drivers such as scrap, yield, downtime, and production efficiency to identify trends and recommend performance improvements.• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and month-end review process, delivering accurate reporting and meaningful analysis of financial and operational results.• Assess capital spending proposals by analyzing return on investment, cash flow impact, and capacity considerations to support sound business decisions.• Maintain strong inventory accounting practices through reconciliations, reporting accuracy, and consistent application of financial controls and accounting policies.• Provide visible leadership to the plant finance team by setting expectations, developing talent, and encouraging accountability and continuous improvement.• Partner with operations to uncover cost reduction opportunities and improve productivity, profitability, and manufacturing competitiveness.
