Nemours Children’s Health is seeking an accomplished and visionary physician leader to serve as Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware in Wilmington. The chief serves as a key member of the Department of Pediatrics leadership team and reports directly to Department Chair David Brousseau, MD, MS. Working collaboratively with hospital and enterprise leadership, you will help advance innovative care models, support strategic growth initiatives, optimize operational performance, and strengthen our reputation for delivering exceptional patient outcomes and family-centered care.Division OverviewThe Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine includes 19 hospitalists, many of whom are board- certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, including three physicians who are dual trained in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. The division also includes two Pediatric Hospital Medicine fellows and seven Advanced Practice Providers.The team provides care for approximately 7,000 patients annually within a 220-bed, state-of-the-art children's hospital that serves as a regional referral center for complex pediatric care.Faculty appointments and opportunities for academic advancement are available through Sidney Kimmel Medical College.Academic Excellence and Research LeadershipThe Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine maintains a strong academic presence within Nemours Children’s and serves as a cornerstone of undergraduate and graduate medical education. The division is home to nationally recognized educators and institutional leaders and serves as the primary teaching service for the Pediatric Residency Program of Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and Nemours Children’s, Delaware, and is a main teaching site for hospital medicine learners throughout the region.As chief, you will foster a culture that supports educational excellence, scholarly activity, quality improvement, and clinical innovation.
