Quality Engineer
We're looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about quality, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Quality Engineer Details:
- Direct Hire position
- $ 90,000.00 to $ 93,000.00 / annually
- First Shift (Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm)
- Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, addressing quality concerns, managing scorecards, and supporting customer launches.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality tools and documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, PPAPs, and inspection instructions.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing processes through SPC, process capability studies (Ppk), Minitab analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and lead corrective actions with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Support IATF 16949 compliance, participate in audits, and drive supplier quality and overall Quality Operating System (QOS) improvements.
Quality Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required for candidates to be hired under the official Quality Engineer title; candidates without an Engineering degree may be considered for a QA Specialist title based on qualifications and experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, root cause analysis, and IATF 16949 requirements.
- Experience using quality and statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, along with blueprint reading and metrology principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
