Gather evidence through client and witness interviews. Prepare legal briefs and opinions, and file appeals. Select jurors, argue motions, and question witnesses during trials. Negotiate civil dispute settlements. Present and summarize cases to judges and juries. Present evidence in criminal or civil litigation. Perform administrative and management functions related to law practice. Prepare and draft legal documents. Examine public and legal records to write opinions or establish ownership.
