We are seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support a high-precision manufacturing operation serving aerospace, defense, and other mission-critical industries. This individual will be responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, final quality verification, packaging of high-value machined components, data entry, customer portal management, and material handling. This role requires someone with strong forklift experience, excellent attention to detail, solid computer skills, and the ability to work across multiple departments. The ideal candidate understands the importance of protecting and accurately documenting high-dollar aerospace and DoD components throughout the shipping process.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping and receiving operations for high-precision machined components.
• Manage inventory control and ensure accurate documentation throughout the shipping process.
• Conduct final quality verification and packaging of high-value components.
• Perform data entry and manage customer portals.
• Handle materials and operate forklifts to support logistics operations.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to facilitate smooth shipping operations.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in logistics, shipping, and receiving.
• Strong forklift operation skills.
• Excellent data entry and computer operation capabilities.
• Experience in inventory control and management.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
• Ability to process Bills of Lading and coordinate freight.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip software.
• Knowledge of packaging and crating techniques.
• Ability to conduct quality inspections and manage customer portals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic assembly experience.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and reading part numbers.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, AL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
