AP/AR Specialist

Southside Market & BBQ is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable full-time AP/AR Specialist to join our growing accounting team. This role will play a critical part in managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable across multiple business entities while supporting accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in full-cycle AP and AR, takes ownership of their work, values accuracy, and is interested in growing into broader accounting responsibilities over time.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESManage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable for multiple entitiesProcess vendor invoices accurately and timely in Ramp and NetSuiteMaintain strong documentation and audit trails for all payables and receivablesReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepanciesProcess and apply customer payments; generate and distribute invoices accurately and on timeMonitor aged receivables, follow up on outstanding balances, and resolve billing discrepanciesManage company credit card activity (Ramp experience a plus)Approve checks and electronic paymentsCommunicate professionally with vendors and internal managementSupport month-end close through AP/AR accruals, reconciliations, and aging report reviewAssist with continuous improvement of AP/AR processes and controlsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field3-5+ years of experience in AP, AR, or similar accounting roleExperience managing payables for multiple entities or complex organizationsBeginner to intermediate Excel skills (filters, basic formulas, lookups, pivot tables)Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracyAbility to manage deadlines and prioritize effectivelyFull Time BenefitsTuition Reimbursement Program- up to 100% paid college tuition25% Employee Discount on Restaurant food purchases, 10% Discount on Market and Merchandise itemsFree Shift Meal each shift worked401K - Southside Market & Barbeque will match the team member contributions 100% (dollar-for-dollar) on your Salary Deferrals up to 3% of compensation; plus, a 50% matching contribution on any additional Salary Deferrals above 3% up to 5% of compensation.Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Employee Referral Bonus ProgramFocused Leadership Development ProgramMedical, Dental, Vision, Life, Short- term and Long- term Disability1 week Vacation pay/year - accrual starts on day 11 week Sick pay/year - accrual starts on day 1ALL COMPANY HOLIDAY Closures Paid - Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter – if normally scheduled for day it occurs onFull time set Schedules #J-18808-Ljbffr Southside Market & BBQ
