Contract | Days (3x12-Hour Shifts, 7:00–19:30) | 36 or 48 hour weeks available | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit serving a variety of general medical diagnoses and surgical specialties including gastrointestinal, urological, gynecological, orthopedic/neurovascular, and cardiopulmonary patients
• Maintain a patient assignment ratio of 1:5–6, with potential flex to 1:8 when paired with an LPN for support
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians
• Float to other Medical Surgical units based on staffing needs, typically approximately once per week
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Provide holiday coverage with flexibility to accommodate staffing demands

Required Qualifications

• Valid Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license (pending license accepted with confirmed ETA)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (pending accepted with confirmation of intent to obtain)
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Availability for the first two weeks of orientation
• Willingness to work with a variety of clinical staff including RNs, LPNs, and technicians
• Proof of flu vaccination (exemption requests must be submitted within 48 hours of contract signing)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
• Experience caring for surgical patients including GI, urology, gynecological, and oncology populations
• Comfort working in a float capacity across multiple Medical Surgical units
