Mill Brook Animal Clinic is seeking a compassionate and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our 1.5 doctor general practice in Arlington, Massachusetts-a lovely, community focused town with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent clientele. We are a technician/assistant driven clinic that empowers our team to work to their maximum potential, and we're looking for a candidate with 1+ years of experience (surgical experience is a plus) who brings a positive attitude, strong communication skills, a passion for patient care, and a collaborative team mindset to our fun and diverse workplace.

$22.00-$27.00 an hour

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record your observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

• High school diploma or equivalent
