SQL Database Administrator

Tucker-Reeves Associates is seeking a SQL Server DBA to help support a Federal Program within the US Department of Veterans Affairs. We are partnered with Peraton on this position. This position will be on-site in South San Antonio at 3130 General Hudnell Dr., San Antonio, 78226. Must have current Security+ Certification. RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for but not limited to supporting database development, administration, and integration activities. Working closely with senior DBAs and developers, this role helps ensure data reliability, structured storage, and smooth support for reporting needs. Write basic SQL queries, simple stored procedures, joins, and views; understand relational table structures. Assist with database architecture support, schema development, and stored procedure updates. Participate in monitoring system health and tuning performance under senior direction. Support data lifecycle activities, including backups, restores, and DR execution. Help enforce database security measures and audit requirements. Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT processes and data integration pipelines. Work with BI teams on query building, data extraction, and dashboard data validation. Understand Dataverse fundamentals and assist in object configuration. Administer Microsoft Dataverse at a foundational level. Basic experience with data integration and transformation processes. Willingness to learn and apply performance tuning and database optimization concepts. Ability to work collaboratively with senior DBAs and analysts. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree and/or equivalency. 6+ years of experience as a SQL Server database administrator Demonstrated working-level SQL DBA skills and understanding of relational data structures. Must be U.S. Citizen Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust) or the ability to obtain one Must have current Security+ Certification CompTIA certification and enrolled in the CompTIA Continuing Education (CE) Program Ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment including holidays Familiarity with Military Health Systems is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Tucker-Reeves Associates, LLC
