If you take pride in high-quality craftsmanship, enjoy a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, and want to support the next generation of Bulldogs, we'd love to welcome you aboard!Minimum QualificationsTwo years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.Job Duties and Other InformationThe Mission of Building Services is to provide a facility that is clean, safe, comfortable, and well maintained in order to establish an environment that complements the educational goals of the institution. Building Services fulfills this mission through the following:Performs general maintenance, repairs, and additions to all Residential Life buildings.Maintains and repairs air conditioning systems and motorized cleaning equipment.Replaces and installs ceiling tiles, window screens, hinges, knobs, showerheads, closet hasps, doors, and window blinds, caulks doors and windows, and performs painting repairs.Climbs ladders to replace light bulbs and clean out light fixtures, helps investigate and solve problems, and completes any assignments given by the supervisor.Appointment Type: This position will be filled as a Probationary Appointment.Location: Louisiana Tech University, Residential Life-Ruston, LA Work Schedule: The typical work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm.
