Date Posted: 2026-05-13 Country: United States of America Location: Huntsville, AL – 401 Jan Davis Dr NW What You Will Do Interact with the customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness. Support compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls. Consult and assist program management with SSE architecture and issues. Support the development of bids and proposals. Support security development and test efforts, including implementation of security controls on networking devices, databases, operating systems, and hardware and software components. Integrate cybersecurity development activities using DoD approved cybersecurity management tools such as eMASS. Perform Task Lead duties (e.g., task planning, product owner, scrum master). Help ensure Cyber policies are enforced and supported during leadership reviews. Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Active and transferable U.S. government issued DoD Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. DoDI 8570.01-M IAT Level-II Compliant Certification (e.g., Security+ or equivalent). Experience in cybersecurity engineering and usage of information security toolsets including anti-virus, vulnerability assessment, HIDS/NIDS, host-based or endpoint security solutions, multi-factor authentication (MFA), security incident and event management (SIEM), and centralized auditing tools; familiarity with Splunk preferred. Linux Bash scripting or Python scripting experience. Experience with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF). DoDI 8570.01-M IAM Level-III Compliant Certification (e.g., CISSP or equivalent). Security systems engineering involving various computer hardware and software, operating system and application solutions in both stand-alone and LAN/WAN configurations. Experience with IT and/or network and system security administration, including operating system security configuration and account management best practices for UNIX, MS Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Cisco systems. Security features and/or vulnerability analysis of operating systems as defined by intelligence agencies. Understanding of systems engineering requirements, specifications, and experience implementing DoD and Federal IA Certification and Accreditation Processes and IA controls. Independent, self-starter able to work reliably without supervision. Experience in the management of computer system security actions and development of procedures that support such actions. Demonstrated understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, OSI model, defense-in-depth and common security elements. Hands‑on experience analyzing high volumes of logs, network data (e.g., Netflow, FPC), and other attack artifacts in support of incident investigations. Demonstrated commitment to training, self‑study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain. Experience troubleshooting and repairing rack servers, radio communications systems, cables and connectors (including fiber) and familiarity with radio encryption devices. Familiarity with U.S. Army and/or Air Force organizational structure. Prior experience delivering briefings to customers with varying technical backgrounds. Prior experience being collocated at a customer’s facility. Prior experience working as part of a dispersed team. Benefits Relocation Eligible – Relocation assistance is available. Salary range for this role: $86,800 – $165,200 USD.
