Now Hiring: Crew Member / Laborer Erosion & Sediment Control
Location: Birmingham, AL | Full-Time | Entry-Level to Experienced

Looking to work outdoors, learn valuable construction skills, and grow with a fast-paced, expanding company? Join the SpreadRite team! Were hiring Crew Members to help install erosion and sediment control systems (like silt fences and inlet protection) on construction sites throughout the Birmingham area and beyond.

What Youll Do:

As a Crew Member, youll work alongside a close-knit team to install and maintain erosion control solutions that protect construction sites and the environment.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Installing and repairing silt fences, inlet protection, turbidity barriers, and other BMPs

• Operating hand tools, power tools, and light equipment (e.g., trencher, ride-on blower, skid steer)

• Driving a company vehicle and hauling a trailer safely

• Assisting with additional tasks as needed

What Were Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Some experience in construction, landscaping, or a similar field

• Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities

• Reliable with a strong work ethic and a clean driving record

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience installing erosion control measures or BMPs (like silt fences and inlet protection)

• Familiarity with light construction equipment

Working Conditions:

• Outdoor, hands-on field work in all weather conditions

• Travel to job sites across the Birmingham area (occasional travel to other regions in Alabama/Florida)

• MondayFriday work schedule, with potential for overtime and weekend work

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

• Comfortable working outdoors in hot or cold conditions

• Must be able to walk long distances and work in physically demanding positions (kneeling, bending, squatting, etc.)

• PPE required: hard hat, safety vest, safety glasses, work boots (provided or reimbursed)
