Job Skills / Requirements

Responsibilities of School Custodian/Janitor:

Clean and set-up of cafeteria for lunch periods
Prepare and empty trash receptacles during lunch service
Break down cafeteria tables following lunch service
Wipe down hard surfaces
Sweep, mop floors
Clean interior windows/doors
Dust and vacuum front lobby/vestibule areas
Clean and restock restrooms
Assist with set-up for art/music programs as needed

Requirements of School Custodian/Janitor:

No Experience, No Problem!
Ability to work independently and stay on task
Must be reliable and have good attendance
Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
Ability to use motorized equipment (vacuum, hand operated floor cleaners)
Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
Must have reliable transportation
MUST BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK & Fingerprinting

Shift Time: 11:00am to 2:00pm (Monday through Friday) (15 total hours per week)

Custodians/Janitors have daily exposure to cleaning solutions.
