Job Description SummaryThe Advanced Manufacturing Engineer for CMM and Metrology plays a critical role in ensuring product quality and reliability by developing, maintaining, and continuously improving measurement system programs and processes. In this role, you will own all automated inspection equipment, including ultrasonic immersion, laser scanning, and coordinate measurement machines. This position will also serve as a trusted technical expert for dimensional inspection, GD&T interpretation, and metrology systems, partnering closely with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.In this role, you will help translate engineering intent into effective inspection strategies—supporting product conformance, process capability, and continuous improvement. You’ll join a collaborative environment where your expertise directly impacts manufacturing excellence, customer confidence, and innovation.We welcome candidates who enjoy hands-on technical work, collaboration, and learning, and who want to grow their expertise while contributing to meaningful, high‑impact products.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and implement product inspection methodology and programs using a variety of automated inspection systemsOptimize and standardize ultrasonic inspection programs to improve consistency and efficiencyAdhere with and complete validation and documentation requirements of ISO 13485 and local site quality management systemInterpret and apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 to inspection plans and measurement analysisIdentify, evaluate, and support the introduction of new measurement methods and metrology systems to improve inspection capability and throughputCreate and maintain inspection plans, measurement methods, and clear, user-friendly work instructionsTrain and support manufacturing personnel on inspection systems, providing troubleshooting as neededReview engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to ensure measurability and inspection feasibility early in the design processConduct GR&R, MSA, and calibration studies to validate measurement system performanceInvestigate dimensional nonconformances and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to identify and document root causes and drive effective corrective actionsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience OR High school diploma or GED with at least 10 years of relevant hands‑on experienceTechnical knowledge and skills:Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)Experience programming and operating automated inspection systemsUnderstanding of dimensional measurement techniquesProficiency with statistical tools such as GR&R, SPC, and capability analysisAbility to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and CAD modelsPreferred QualificationsExperience with PolyWorks, Calypso, PC‑DMIS, or similar metrology softwareExperience in aerospace, automotive, medical device, or other precision manufacturing environmentsASQ certification (CQE, CQA) or equivalentExperience with optical, vision, laser scanning, or non‑contact metrology systemsFamiliarity with CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks CAD modelsCompetencies & SkillsAnalytical and problem‑solving skills with a practical, solutions‑oriented approachStrong attention to detail while balancing accuracy with efficiencyClear and respectful written and verbal communication skillsComfort working both independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teamsOrganized, thoughtful, and process‑minded work style#LI-LRG1#LI-OnsiteWe will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
